What Our Warranty Does Not Cover
To ensure the integrity of your hardware, proper use and care are critical. This warranty does not cover:
• Normal wear and tear, including scratches, fading, or natural ageing of the finish.
• Tarnishing or discolouration caused by exposure to moisture, high humidity, salt air, or improper cleaning products.
• Damage from improper installation, misuse, or negligence.
• Corrosion or pitting resulting from harsh environmental conditions or improper maintenance.
• Outdoor installation, or any non-residential setting.
• Alterations, repairs, or modifications made after purchase.

What is a PVD finish?

Why should I choose PVD finishes?
PVD finishes, such as Gold and Rose Gold, are not only visually stunning but also highly durable, ensuring your hardware maintains its elegance and shine over time.
Will the handles age or develop a patina over time?
No. Aestara handles are not raw or unlacquered brass, so they are not designed to develop a natural brass patina. They are made from zinc alloy and finished with either PVD coating or electroplating to help keep the colour more consistent over time. PVD finishes are generally selected for stronger resistance to wear, tarnishing and corrosion; electroplated finishes can still perform well in normal indoor use, but like any coated hardware they may gradually dull, mark or show wear in high-touch areas if exposed to harsh cleaners, abrasion, moisture or heavy use. To protect the finish, wipe with a soft damp cloth and avoid abrasive or chemical cleaners.

• $10 flat rate for regular delivery on orders below $199.

5. Returns and Refunds
What is your return policy?
You may request a change-of-mind return within 60 calendar days of the date your order was placed. Items must be unused, uninstalled, unaltered, unmarked and in resaleable condition, with their original packaging, fixings and other supplied components.
Who pays return shipping?
For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for arranging and paying return shipping. Original delivery charges are not refunded. If a product is faulty, arrives damaged, is incorrectly supplied or otherwise fails to meet a consumer guarantee, these change-of-mind conditions do not apply and Aestara will cover or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs where required under the Australian Consumer Law.
How do I request a return?
Email hello@aestara.com.au with your order number and the item or items you would like to return. You do not need to provide a reason for a change-of-mind return. Please wait for our return instructions before sending anything back.
How long does a refund take?
Once we receive and inspect an eligible return, we process the product refund to the original payment method within 7 business days. You may request store credit instead. Read our full Return and Refund Policy for all conditions and Australian Consumer Law information.
